The Canadian creative collective Music is My Sanctuary (MIMS) has released a clothing line in collaboration with 101 Apparel in celebration of its 10th anniversary.

True to 101 Apparel’s nature, the collection comes paired with a cassette and a free MP3 download code. Titled the 10th Anniversary Compilation: Never Stop Digging, the cassette features 17 unreleased tracks by some of MIMS’ favorite artists.

Side A focuses on slightly more floor-oriented grooves from artists known for producing and DJ-ing. Meanwhile, side B is dedicated to hip hop and funk, featuring artists who've put their own unique spin the genres.

Listen to the compilation here, and browse through the collection below.

MIMS' story began a decade ago in Montreal, Canada. At the time, Lexis, a DJ and tastemaker, founded what would later be “one of the best independent websites for lovers of next-level music from all over the world.” As the name suggests, it serves as a sanctuary for music so often overlooked by mainstream channels, be it jazz, electronic or hip hop.

So it’s only right that MIMS comes to 101 Apparel to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Like MIMS, 101 Apparel got its inspiration from what they call “sonic vibrations,” ranging from afro beat, disco, Brazilian samba, bossa nova and tropicalia to electronic music, hip hop, funk, soul, reggae, jazz and beyond. 101 Apparel works together with select DJs or producers to design custom outfits that resonate with the sounds of the artists, along with an exclusive mix CD (or in MIMS' case, cassette). In line with its mission to expand said sounds, every apparel piece includes a custom hang tag with a unique access code to download one of these special mixes.
