Without a doubt, cultural advisor, entertainment executive and founder of Metallic inc., Grace Ladoja is off to a great start this year as she is set to be awarded with the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her services to music development in England, notably for her contribution to the grime music scene having one of UK’s top rap talents, Skepta, under her management since 2014.
Fully deserving of this award which is aimed at recognizing the people’s contributions to arts, culture, public and civil service, Ladoja is known for her remarkable development of one of UK’s biggest grime artistes (Skepta), making her one of the fastest rising entertainment execs today. Beyond talent management, she is an all-round cultural advisor having strong affiliations with brands such as Nike, Supreme, Barbie, FKA Twigs and more.
Grace will be joined by 451 others who will also be receiving an MBE from Her Royal Majesty, The Queen, alongside 318 set to receive BEMs, 211 set to receive OBEs, with other honors including knighthoods ands dame hoods.
On her latest achievement, Grace took to her Instagram; “I’ve always loved the culture that comes from UK music so to be part of this journey has been so special to me, I think we are the best in the world. As a scene we have all worked hard to try to leave an impression on this Earth and create new blueprints so that the next generation can flourish, I think that’s my calling in life. There is so much to do, I can’t wait for next year.”
