With "Islands, Constellations & Galapagos" as the theme, Yokohama Triennale returns for the sixth time this year. In an official statement, co-director Miki Akiko explains that the theme was picked as a response to the challenges the world faces today such as the emergence of protectionism, xenophobia and populism. Works from around 40 local and international artists or groups are chosen to embody the image of worlds gradually connecting like stars or islands forming constellations and archipelagoes.
