Following their three-month residency in Lagos, artists Inês Valle and Kitso Lynn Lelliott are set to show their work at a joint exhibition that opens today, March 22.
In his project, Valle, who is a Portuguese/Angolan artist, curator and researcher, puts his focus on the architecture in Lagos’ Brazilian Quarters, connecting the notion of home and belonging with personal stories. While Lelliott, who hails from Botswana and lives in South Africa, presents a three-channel video installation that sews together a collection of past performative vignettes.
Held at 16/16, the exhibition will run until March 29.
