After a successful inaugural event last year, ART X Lagos is set to make its return on November 3 to 5. The second edition of West Africa's first international art fair promises to deliver a much broader and more dynamic exhibitions, talks and projects.
An example of said special projects is an exhibit featuring seven wooden sculptures by artist Ben Enwonwu. The sculptures, which was commissioned by the Daily Mirror in 1960, will be shown for the first time ever in Nigeria.
Other projects include Education is Forbidden project by Rahima Gambo, who offers a contemplative picture on the Boko Haram conflict, and a retrospective featuring the works of Lemi Ghariowku, the artist behind Fela Anikulapo Kuti's record jacket artworks.
