Musical duo Amadou & Mariam is set to perform in Tunisia as a part of the lineup for Jazz à Carthage festival that is held from April 6 to 15 in Gammarth, a suburb of Tunis.

Composed of the Bamako-born couple Amadou Bagayoko and Mariam Doumbia, the duo has been making music for almost 30 years. Dubbed "The blind couple of Mali," Amadou & Mariam made their international debut in 1998 with their song Mon Amour, Ma Chérie in 1998. A decade later, their 2008 album, Welcome To Mali, was nominated for Grammys for Best Contemporary World Music Album.
Amadou & Mariam will perform on the first day of the festival on April 6.
