Three of Sydney's most influential cultural institutions team up on a single, curated exhibit across venues. Carriageworks, the Art Gallery of NSW and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia present The National: New Australian Art.

The exhibit will focus entirely on contemporary Australian art, connecting three of Sydney’s key cultural precincts – The Domain, Redfern and Circular Quay.

Exhibition Dates:
Art Gallery of New South Wales: March 30 - July 16.
Carriageworks: March 30-June 25.
Museum of Contemporary Art Australia: March 30 - June 18

From the organizers:
"The National: new Australian art is the only large-scale recurring exhibition in the city focused solely on contemporary Australian art. Over three editions in 2017, 2019 and 2021, The National will profile a mix of emerging, mid-career and established artists from around the country and practising overseas. New and recently commissioned works encompass a diverse range of mediums, including painting, video, sculpture, installation, drawing and performance."
